Parley Manor | Dorset Wedding
Parley Manor is a beautiful old Georgian Manor House set in amongst gorgeous gardens and parkland. On the day, Matt and Lydia were really hoping for an outdoor ceremony, but of course, this being England, the day began with rain and moody skies, so the event was moved under cover. However, it didn’t matter because the undercover ceremony area is stunning!
I joined Lydia in the morning, as she was getting ready with her two daughters, older sister and sister-in-law. Her elegant lace dress was from Romsey Bridal Boutique and it suited her perfectly. Simply Flower delivered the eyecatching boho-bouquets, filled with pampas grass and eucalyptus, whilst Julie (Julie Ellen Beauty) worked her magic to create Lydia’s beautiful up-do and make-up. Whilst the girls were getting ready, I joined the groom, Matt, for a few shots with his best men, and of course, his dream car, the Aston martin.
The couples’ beloved dogs Nala and Django joined them as Lydia’s brother walked the beautiful bride-to-be down the aisle. As the newylweds left the ceremony, they crossed the lush green gardens followed by all their guests. A memorable moment was Nala (the couple’s Jack Russel cross) escaping and launching into the pond, mistaking the green algae for grass! A very brave groomsman rolled up his trousers and went straight in to rescue the floundering pooch! Afterwards we popped the champagne (ok, it was Asti but don’t tell anyone!) for some fun group shots, before I whsiked the lovers away for some romantic creative portraits in the fields. The couple made a picture-perfect pair, and you could see how much they were in love.
Day turned into night, and after a quick munch on the donuts, they took to the dancefloor for their first dance as a married couple. We managed to squeeze in some sunset portraits and a fantastic sparkler exit too!
