Clock Barn | Hampshire wedding

Michelle and Adam chose the gorgeous Clock Barn in Whitchurch to tie the knot. When I arrived, the excellent Rachel Maslin and Love is in the Hair by Sabrina were already on hair & make-up, doing a fabulous job! Michelle looked absolutely stunning – she went for a delicately embellished, classically elegant lace floor length gown from Made with Love @ Ava Louise, complemented by a very long and beautiful veil (veils might be impractical but they look so pretty!) Her hair was pinned into a sophisticated low-bun, which suited her perfectly.

The bridesmaids and flower girls all looked picture-perfect, in baby blue dresses from   Jolie Moi  (and white for the little flower girls). The barn was decorated with beautiful white florals from  Laurel Designs  to match the bouquets, and white sashes on the chairs. The cake (Cocoa and Whey) reflected a similar clean elegance, with white roses, a splash of blue from the nigella, and then some very cute little icing-dogs, to represent the couples’ beloved boys, Frank and Rudy.

The men were also looking sharp, with Adam in a dark suit and grey waistcoat from King & Allen, and his groomsmen all in pale grey with dark ties. Special thanks to Lucy Farrant Photography here for capturing some excellent pre-ceremony groom shots for me!

After the beautiful and heartfelt ceremony, followed by a smooth kiss-dip in the aisle, everyone headed outside for the confetti. We got some excellent group shots (well done to Adam and the lads for braving the ‘scrum-style’ group shot for me, it was worth it!), followed by some romantic portraits up on the hill. It was a moody overcast day (always a hit with me!) but we knew rain was definitely on the way, so we headed back inside for some hilarious speeches.

Finally, it was time for the first dance and the party. The 9-piece band (Neoroots) were absolutely brilliant, with some outstanding vocals! They made a huge effort to really interact with the guests, and had everyone up and dancing by the end. By this point, the British summer was well under way, with torrential rain outside, but it looked like it didn’t bother anyone!
