Wickham Estate | Hampshire Wedding
Even in the winter months, Wickham Estate has such a beautifully unique and rustic charm that it makes it the perfect venue for a festive wedding. Jen and Dave asked me to photograph their wedding, which I was very excited about as I’d never shot at Wickham Estate before. Dave is actually my sister’s best friend, so it was really lovely to work at a wedding where I know lots of the guests!
I was very happy to see an old friend expertly handling Jen’s hair and make-up when I arrived in the morning. Julie Ellen Beauty did a stunning job, and Jen looked absolutely beautiful with a loose wave, and a delicate gold flower headband. The bridesmaids complemented the colour scheme perfectly with their dusty pink dresses, all in different styles, and faux fur stoles. Florals were provided by Wildflowerstudio. Jen chose a bridal bouquet of roses and cala lillies, all in-keeping with the overall colour scheme and autumnal feel. Her dress was a show-stopping regal off-the-shoulder number from The Bridal Mill in Botley, and it suited her so perfectly.
Dave and his chaps were looked after by my wonderful assistant Dayle. My sister was Dave’s best man, and I must say she looked very fetching in her suit from Moss Bros, and a high ponytail and make-up crafted by another old friend of mine, Helena Larsen Make-up
A lot of fun was had throughout the day, with a brilliant effort from all on the champagne-pop photo and the snow confetti. Even though the vineyard was not in season, it really did make for a very special, very unique backdrop. As the light went down, we stepped outside for some final cosy couple portraits under the mistletoe, and an excellent sparkler exit to send the happy couple off!
