Kimbridge Barn | Romsey Wedding
I absolutely love organising and photographing styled wedding shoots. It means that as a team, we almost get to plan our own wedding, and at the same time we can provide some gorgeous Pinterest-worthy wedding inspo for our couples! We were asked back by the guys at Kimbridge Barn (after the success of an earlier styled shoot) to work on another project, this time to be shot in their Boot Room. Kimbridge Barn (voted best wedding venue in Hampshire and Isle of Wight) is beautiful, idyllic little place on the River Test, and offers both a spacious and well-lit modern rustic barn, and a smaller more intimate room for weddings. There is also a cozy outdoor space.
Olivia Marshall Make-up and I decided to go for a very modern, chic, and clean feel this time, drawing on minimalist and Scandinavian inspiration. Kay at Pomp & Petals came on board with her fantastic and innovative floral creations – she tied bunches and bunches of white amaryllis to hang from the ceiling, and decorated the table with stemmed cotton. We had the pleasure of working with a new supplier, Ali of Alison Jane Calligraphy; she brought a touch of elegance to the shoot, with her hand-made wedding invites, place cards and table plan, all on beautiful acryllic. She also brought along Ted, the crazy spaniel, who was the star of the show! (Yep – Kimbridge are dog friendly!)
Vicky at Little House of Cake provided the beautiful cake, which worked perfectly with the chic minimalist theme. Our models were absolutely brilliant – Olivia & Tom, who are actually a real engaged couple, so it made the photographs feel like a real wedding!
Make-up expertly done by Olivia, and the stunning hairstyles were courtesy of Victoria @ Flawless Essence Hair and Make-up. My wedding assistant Dayle of DMH Photos joined us to capture everything on film. The stunning bridal gowns were kindly provided by Hannah Elizabeth Bridal and The Bridal Mill Botley, whilst Charles Gale leant us the tux for Tom to wear.
