Silchester Farm | Berkshire wedding

Jamie + Elise

The moment Jamie and Elise told me they’d chosen Silchester Farm for their wedding, I was excited. It’s one of those venues I’ve admired from afar on Instagram for years, so being asked to photograph their day there felt like a real honour.

Set on a warm late-summer day, Silchester Farm absolutely delivered. From the beautifully manicured gardens and rustic barns to the charming old milk float and picturesque lake, every corner of the venue was a dream to photograph.

Elise got ready on-site in one of the adorable cottages, surrounded by soft autumnal tones of burnt orange and dusty powder blue. Her dress was simply stunning—a deep V neckline, intricate lace throughout, and my personal favourite: sleeves. A wedding dress with sleeves always adds that extra touch of elegance, and this one was perfection. Jamie and the guys got ready over in the Cow Shed, complementing the day’s colour scheme with their pale blue ties.

With the weather feeling a little unpredictable, Jamie and Elise chose to say their vows inside the Threshing Barn. The ceremony was intimate and emotional, followed by confetti and Pimms outside. One especially touching moment between Elise and her Grandma brought a few happy tears.

The Cow Shed was styled beautifully, striking the perfect balance between rustic charm and understated luxury. We took full advantage of Silchester Farm’s incredible grounds for portraits (the weeping willow by the lake is an absolute dream!) before the couple headed in for their wedding breakfast and some hilarious speeches.

As the evening drew in, we snuck back outside to catch the golden-hour light, just in time for a few relaxed sunset portraits. We even managed to squeeze in some fun Pyggy Thyme shots in the bathtub before the celebrations really kicked off and the party began.

A beautiful day, a stunning venue, and a couple who were an absolute joy to photograph. ✨
