An Eye for Detail

- When I arrive on the morning of your wedding, the first thing I usually like to do is to start styling a ‘details’ photo
- These photos are SO important! One image can capture and beautifully showcase everything you spent months (or even years) carefully choosing. I absolutely love putting these together!

- I like to take my time with these kind of images – I don’t want anything important to be missed, and I want to make sure that it’s a gorgeous composition. Sometimes I’ll shoot it as a ‘flat-lay’; others I might shoot some close-up shots to emphasise inscriptions on a ring, for example.

I recommend that you set a side a little bag or box to hold all the items that you think might work well. Some ideas are:
- Rings
- Invitations
- Ribbons or fabric that match your colour scheme for the day
- Jewellery that you’ll be wearing
- Your flowers, and the buttonholes
- Personal vows or letters to each other
- Your shoes
- Wax stamps
- Your clutch or handbag if you’re using one
- Your perfume
- Your veil (often useful as a backdrop for the items)
- Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue, and a sixpence in her shoe
