Royal Victoria Country Park | Hampshire Wedding

Phil and Alison booked me earlier this year to shoot their spring time wedding in Hampshire. They tied the knot at St Marys Church in Warsash, which was a very pretty church nestled in amongst the blossom trees (of course we took full advantage of these for photos!) As Ali is in the Navy, the couple decided to have a sword arch to announce their newlywed status as they left the church. We then moved on to the Chapel at the Royal Victoria Country Park, which is a venue I love to shoot at, steeped in history.

Ali didn’t want to have the bridal prep documented, but instead the couple asked if I could stay later to capture more party shots! Ali looked serene and beautiful in her elegant gown from Brides of Southampton, whilst Phil went for a very dashing blue suit from Charles Gale. Bridesmaids complemented the colours of the day in their summery dresses from Ever Pretty.

The day was bright and sunny and warm, just like spring should be. The cheese table (filled with local cheeses, including vegan options!) went down very well, I think the couple were hoping for some leftovers to take home but they might have been out of luck! The cake was a very artistic creation with its lego theme, made skillfully by Couture Cake Designs. The chapel itself was attractively decorated, with clean whites and simple yet elegant tablescapes. There was a buffet dinner, followed by drinks at the very cool converted horse box-bar The Fair Saddler, and pizza from The Pizza Post in the evening.

We were lucky to get a stunning sunset across the water for some very romantic golden hour shots. What an end to the day!
