Carmen + Mike
Carmen began her morning in the rustic getting-ready suite at Clock Barn, surrounded by her bridesmaids and the gentle buzz of excitement. She looked radiant in her spaghetti-strap gown, featuring a delicate lace bodice and a softly draped skirt that moved beautifully in the summer breeze. Her look was completed with a flower crown of red and pink roses – the same blooms featured in her romantic bouquet -giving her a whimsical, boho touch that suited the warm season perfectly.
Meanwhile, Mike and his groomsmen were just a few steps away, getting ready in their smart royal blue suits. Laughter, camaraderie, and the occasional toast made for a relaxed start to the day.
The star of the show was of course Willow, their beloved beagle and honorary ring bearer. Wearing her special doggy backpack, she trotted proudly down the aisle, stealing everyone’s hearts in the process (mine included!)
During the ceremony, Willow joined her humans once again as they signed the register, happily perched on their laps – a picture-perfect family moment. The trio then made their joyful walk back down the aisle together, smiles all around.
Carmen and Mike filled their day with thoughtful, creative details. They hired a live illustrator to create portraits of all the guests – a unique and personal memento that everyone adored. Each reception table was named after one of the couple’s dogs, past and present, complete with beautiful paintings of their furry friends, I loved it!
As guests enjoyed the sunshine, lawn games dotted the grass, laughter and friendly competition filling the air. Meanwhile, we wandered into the apple orchards for some romantic portraits of the newlyweds , with the golden light filtering through the leaves, creating the dreamiest backdrop.
After a round of heartfelt speeches and a joyful first dance under the twinkling lights of the barn, we slipped away once more for those all-important golden hour portraits. At the top of the hill, with the rolling Hampshire fields stretching out behind them, Carmen and Mike shared quiet moments together as the sun dipped below the horizon – the perfect ending to a perfect day.
Carmen and Mike’s wedding at Clock Barn was everything a summer celebration should be – warm, personal, full of emotion, and utterly joyful. (Plus, if there’s a dog at the wedding, it always makes my day!)
