Burley Manor | New Forest Wedding
Micky and Izzie
I joined Izzie on a lovely sunny early spring morning at her parents’ gorgeous country cottage in the forest (they let it out for holidays, if anyone is interested I’d highly recommend!) Izzie looked very calm and relaxed as she had her hair and make-up done by an old friend of mine, the fantastic Helena, of Love her Hair and Makeup. She went for a very pretty ‘un-done bun’ style, which worked perfectly with her lacey gown from Hen House Brides.
Her bouquets (which were mostly roses) were a lovely pastel shade of pink, beautifully complementing the bridesmaids’ sage green dresses. Izzie wanted to do a reveal with her Dad, which was lovely, especially as he was accompanied by their two adorable old Scotty dogs!
My trusty second shooter, Dayle, was covering the groom prep with Micky (looking suave in a blue suit) and his groomsmen, before heading to the church.
After the heartfelt ceremony and confetti, everyone headed to the venue at Burley Manor, where the décor was absolutely spectacular. It looked rustic, yet very elegant, with draping over the chairs and gorgeous leafy table-scaping.
While the guests indulged in some delicious Pimms, we took the newlyweds to the front of the manor, to capture a few shots using the deer as a backdrop!
After the speeches and the first dance, we decided to make the most of the setting sun, and head out for a few more evening portraits. We stumbled across an old rusty Land Rover in the fields, which made for some stunning shots of the couple!
After the sun had set, Micky and Izzie headed back to their guests to hit the dancefloor again! A fantastic day, finishing up with cake and mini burgers, perfect!
