Parley Manor | Dorset wedding
Hannah + Kevin
Hannah and Kevin chose the beautiful Parley Manor in Christchurch for their wedding day, and what an incredible sunny September celebration it turned out to be. From the vibrant colour palette to the laid-back, joy-filled atmosphere, their day was a dream to photograph from beginning to end.
Hannah got ready on site at Parley Manor alongside her mum and bridesmaids. The morning was full of laughter, excitement, and those sweet little moments that make bridal prep so special.
Her colour scheme was a stunning rainbow-bright mix of oranges, purples, pinks, yellows, and blues – all beautifully showcased in her bouquet. Hannah wore her hair loose and wavy, effortlessly elegant, and her satin-and-lace gown paired with a full-length embellished veil made her look utterly radiant. Though she was several months pregnant, her dress fitted her perfectly and she looked absolutely glowing.
Her bridesmaids looked amazing in their vibrant satin dresses, each one complementing the colourful theme and bringing so much fun and energy to the morning.
While I was with Hannah, my trusty second shooter, Dayle, was with Kevin and the lads. They were in high spirits, strutting their stuff in dashing cream-coloured three-piece suits – stylish, relaxed, and the perfect choice for the warm late-summer day.
One particularly touching moment unfolded just before the ceremony when Hannah did a ‘reveal’ for her grandparents. These are the kinds of moments I feel so privileged to capture – small but deeply meaningful.
The ceremony took place beneath a fantastic floral arch that echoed the rainbow palette perfectly. Hannah and Kevin’s ceremony was heartfelt and emotional, with plenty of smiles, happy tears, and meaningful glances shared between them.
Afterwards, guests enjoyed drinks, canapés, and live music from a talented saxophonist while I whisked the newlyweds away for a wander around Parley Manor’s beautiful grounds. With the sunshine filtering through the trees and the gardens in full bloom, it was the perfect setting for some relaxed, romantic couple portraits.
The reception brought plenty of laughter thanks to a round of hilarious speeches that had everyone in stitches. As the sun dipped lower, we headed out into the fields for sunset portraits (this is always one of my favourite parts of any wedding day). I love capturing those last golden shafts of light as the sun goes down, and Hannah and Kevin embraced it beautifully.
Instead of the traditional cake cutting, the couple opted for a chic champagne tower. It looked absolutely fabulous and was such a fun, elegant twist on tradition.
Once the first dance kicked off the evening celebrations, the party wasted no time getting started. The saxophonist hit the dancefloor, and as soon as he did, so did everyone else! It was such a joyful, energetic end to an already incredible day.
